On a dark and (finally) clear night, I went out hunting the Neowise comet. While the deer huffed at me from either side of this image and a coyote pup tested his vocals, I played with light. For the 3rd time in a week, I found myself just enjoying the darkness of the night. Something that sounded like George Jones' He Stopped Loving Her Today droned in the distance which was the inspiration for this image's title. From photographer Emily Gust.
