A mule deer doe takes cover from the blazing prairie sun. Her counterparts are hiding in the nearby Frenchman River Valley as the mid-day heat reaches nearly +32C. This part of the province seems so barren, but having spent so many Easter breaks and summers here, I got used to looking for the wildlife in new places, appreciating the grassy fields, and those skies...
